Archie grew up in Colorado but has resided in Michigan for the past 20 years. He’s been playing the trumpet since he was 10 years old. With the exception of a six year period during the late 80's and early 90's he has been fueling his passiArchie-thumbon for playing by performing steadily ever since.

Archie attended the University of Northern Colorado, pursuing a Bachelor of Music Education Degree. He’s also served in the United States Air Force.

Archie has been a permanent member of The Hit Men (formerly Three Penny Revue), for approximately ten years, playing the trumpet, flugelhorn and also performing vocally.

Archie performs locally and throughout the state with numerous ensembles and organizations, which include Lead Trumpet for The Baytones Big Band, Theatre Pit Orchestras, Community Bands and churches. He is a member of Razor Entertainment, which features over 100 professional musicians with stage and recording credits as diverse as Aretha Franklin, Frank Sinatra, The Temptations, Amy Grant and Woody Herman.

Archie has been nominated for Best Jazz Instrumentalist by Bay Area Review Magazine’s Music Awards for the last two years.
Artist influences range from high note trumpet players such as Bill Chase, Eric Miyashiro, Jon Faddis and Maynard Ferguson, to Contemporary and Smooth Jazz players like Chris Botti and Rick Braun.
